Business Entity Law Changes(Corporations)

Georgia

Notice: New law sets fee for name reservations, beginning July 1, 2003

The Georgia General Assembly has passed, and Governor Perdue is expected to sign, legislation that sets a fee of $25 for reservation of corporation, LLC and LP names. Under the new law, reservations will be in effect for only 30 days, or until the filing is made, whichever is sooner. If the requested name is not available for filing, another choice may be submitted without payment of an additional fee.

Idaho

H314 effective July 1, 2003 authorizes the Secretary of State to build an electronic annual report distribution and filing system. http://www3.state.id.us/oasis/H0314.html

Maine

Pennsylvania

 

Corporation Bureau no longer accepts expedites for Good Standings, Certified Copies or any new filing without a Name Reservation first, until further notice due to the implementation of the new database in March.

 

Ohio

 

Effective July 1, 2003, the Ohio Secretary of State's business services division, in compliance with Ohio Revised Code 111.25 will require the use of its prescribed corporate forms authorized by the current Secretary of State. National Registered Agents, Inc. Document Library (DocLib) has the current forms for your use.


Business Entity Law Changes(LLC's)

Idaho

Wyoming

State Filing Fee Changes

Georgia

Several fee changes effective July 1, 2003:

  The filing fee for corporations, LLCs and LPs will be $100.

  The filing fee for qualification of foreign corporations, LLCs and LPs will be $225.

  The annual registration fee for corporations, LLCs and LPs will be $30.

  There will be a name reservation fee of $25 for corporations, LLCs and LPs.

Nevada

 

Effective October 1, 2003, Senate Bill 124 makes substantial changes in regards to publicly traded companies in response to recent corporate developments with regards to accurate financial reporting. Requires certain corporations to provide certain information at time of filing list of officers and directors and to pay fee under certain circumstances
